Hello, welcome to my page.

Jim began working in banking in 1979 as a management trainee at First Federal Savings of Arizona where he quickly became a direct marketing and sale executive. In 1982 Jim and his wife Melodie moved to Utah where he became a Financial Services Executive for United Savings Bank where he remained until the bank was sold in the late 1990s. At that time Jim began working more directly in mortgage loan originations. In 2006 Jim became aware of Utah Mortgage Loan Corporation UMLC, and decided to become part of the loan origination staff at UMLC. Jim has remained impressed with all the advantages UMLC affords his clients. Jim says “I have remained very impressed with the quality and competency of the management team and staff at UMLC. Jim has also worked extensively within the community having served numerous years as a School Community Council Chairman, as a former Affordable Housing Chair for the Utah Mortgage Lenders Association, as a Scout Master and as a volunteer working with numerous non-profit organizations that target the needs of at risk families and youth. Jim has been married for over 30 years to Melodie Lokey and together they are the parents of 5 happy and successful adult children.

Our Loan Process

1: Pre-Approval

A loan pre-approval sets you up for a smooth home buying experience.

2: Shop

Start working with a real estate agent and viewing homes.

3: Loan Application

A few documents are needed to get a loan file through underwriting.

4: Loan Processing

Assemble all the necessary paperwork and details for the underwriter.

5: Underwriting

They closely evaluate all the documentation in the loan package.

6: Closing

Documents are drawn and sent to the title company for closing.
